We Must Do More To Save Pangolins

Pangolins have a strong claim to the title of the most unfortunate mammals. Despite their rarity, they are a major ingredient in many traditional Chinese medicines and because of this are the most trafficked animal on Earth: from China to Vietnam there is approximately 1 pangolin trafficked every 5 minutes. Nowadays, because they’ve run out of pangolins in most of East Asia, they’re now being looted from Africa — the extent of the damage done to pangolins is such that all surviving 8 species of pangolin are officially endangered, 3 of which critically.
